Volkswagen Fest 2018
A celebration of everything Volkswagen.
The Volkswagen Fest 2018 saw Volkswagen fans from all walks of life celebrating their love for the brand. The main highlight of this year's festival was the unveiling of a special edition model range, and the introduction of Volkswagen Cares, our customer loyalty program.
For those who were not able to make it, here's a recap of what you missed:
We launched the JOIN special model series.
The 'JOIN' range is an accessory package available on Volkswagen's core models, the Polo, Vento Comfortline and Highline, Tiguan Highline and Passat Comfortline. 'JOIN' accessories include side scuff plates, rear spoiler, trunk garnish, VW Tint, and a list of other exclusive add-ons worth up to RM12,000, depending on the model.
In conjunction with the unveiling of the 'JOIN' range, Volkswagen and Lazada Malaysia once again collaborated to offer a special deal for the Malaysian public. 25 units of JOIN models was sold exclusively on Lazada from the 12th October 2018 until the 30th of October. Customers needed only pay the retail price of the car to receive the 'JOIN' accessory package for free.
We also launched our most important initiative this year, Volkswagen Cares.
The core of the Volkswagen Cares philosophy is the commitment to care and provide the best for Volkswagen customers. Key to this initiative is the Volkswagen Cares mobile application, an aftersales-led initiative using a new platform for the brand to engage with its customers and continuously improve the ownership experience.
The mobile app comes with a list of features related to both sales and aftersales, and this includes service offers, owner rewards, educational videos and tips event updates, and 24-hours' roadside assistance - all at the touch of a button. The Volkswagen Cares mobile app is available on both IOS and Android can be downloaded on the App Store and Google Play.
Once the launch was done, it was time to explore the festival grounds.
There were plenty of activities for visitors and their family members to enjoy such as the array of Klang Valley's best food trucks, busker performances and Instagram-worthy art installations, and a gathering of current and classic VWs courtesy of enthusiasts from around the country.
Other highlights included an outdoor movies screening and a mini concert with popular local artists Paperplane Pursuit, Talitha Tan and Bunkface.
It was an amazing weekend, made more incredible with all the VW love we felt from everyone. For those of you who were there, we hope that you had a blast. To those who missed out, be sure to be there next year!
