Electric Parking Brake with Auto-hold
Using our electronic parking brake couldn't be easier. Press the button and your car is securely parked and an indicator light shows to reassure you that the brake is on. When you're ready to drive off again just depress the brake pedal, push the button to release the parking brake and drive away.
The electronic parking brake is operated by means of two geared electric motors on the rear disc brakes which when engaged will hold your car securely parked. Indicator lights in the instrument cluster and on the button show when the parking brake is on, while an audible signal also tells you that the brake is being applied.
Cruise Control
Our Cruise Control system works electronically to help regulate your car's speed. It reduces the stress on drivers and offers you more comfort on long journeys by keeping a constant speed. It's particularly effective when you have to stay within speed limits for a long distance.
The system works by memorising and maintaining the speed you select. It's very flexible, too. You can increase or reduce speed manually - to a defined value - and you also have the option of returning to the speed most recently memorised.
For safety reasons, the cruise control system should not be used in heavy traffic or in difficult road conditions, such as heavy rain.
Ambient Lighting
Ambient lighting bathes the interior of your car in subdued light when it gets dark. LEDs light areas such as doors, footwells and decorative inserts. The pleasant, discreet lighting complements the white illumination of switches and buttons in your car, creating a stylish atmosphere. When you're driving at night, the glare-free light also helps you to find your bearings and locate things more easily.
Keyless Locking and Starting System (KESSY)
KESSY offers the driver maximum convenience: you merely have to carry the key with you, in your hand or bag. The most important components of keyless systems are the ID sender in the car key, the electronic ignition lock, the starter button, the control unit, the electric steering column lock and the aerials and sensors in the door handles.
The key is identified via proximity sensors in the door handles and a radio pulse generator in the key housing as soon as the driver is within approximately 1.50 metres of the car. The vehicle is automatically unlocked as soon as the door handle (or boot lid) is activated. Provided the driver has the key with them while inside the car, the engine can be started simply by pressing the starter button down fully. When leaving the car, it suffices to put your hands on the door handles in order to lock the vehicle.
Automatic headlights and wipers
Automatic headlight activation ensures optimum vehicle lighting at all times, without the driver having to switch the headlights on or off manually. The system offers the driver a significant gain in terms of convenience and safety.
The headlights are automatically switched on by means of a dusk sensor as darkness sets in, or when driving through a tunnel in the daytime. But the headlights are also activated in rain (continuous wipe for more than 5 seconds) or at high speed (at speeds over 140 km/h for longer than 10 seconds).
When the speed drops again or the wipers are switched off, the system automatically deactivates the headlights after a short time. In this way your own vehicle is more easily seen by other road users.
Heated door mirrors
Our electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors are one more convenient extra we add to our cars to boost your driving pleasure.
Our door mirrors are electrically heated, eliminating water and condensation build-up quickly, so you can see what's coming up more clearly. They're also electrically adjustable, making it easy and convenient to make sure they are in just the right position for you.
All our cars are fitted with an aspherical door mirror - a mirror whose surface is not shaped like a sphere - on the driver's side. It features a split mirror surface, part of which has a convex curvature to increase your field of view. When you adjust it correctly to your seat position you'll find it virtually eliminates the blind spot.
3-zone Climatronic Air Conditioning
The 3-zone "Pure Air Climatronic" automatically ensures clean air and healthy air conditioning in the interior of the vehicle. An air quality sensor and an anti-allergenic filter keep the air quality at a consistently high level and reduce the intrusion of unpleasant substances, including fungal spores and allergens.
Using the 3-zone climate control and the selectable climate profiles, all the passengers can choose their own individual feel-good climate settings. The "Gentle" climate profile is specifically designed to meet the needs of sensitive people and small children.
Thanks to sun and humidity sensors, the optimum air conditioning and healthy air humidity can be achieved quickly, depending on the intensity and direction of the direct sunlight. This means that misted windows are also a thing of the past.
Electric Tailgate with Easy Open
The electric tailgate/boot lid can be opened easily from the driver's seat or using the remote control key. It closes automatically at the press of a button located in the boot lid.
The opening height can be adjusted in order to avoid the boot lid being damaged, for example in garages with a low roof.
For certain models, KESSY offers even more comfort and convenience for the saloon. The contactless Easy Open function uses additional sensors in the rear of the vehicle to open the luggage compartment lid simply by flicking your foot. These sensors identify the key, and the system automatically opens the luggage compartment lid.
Rear view camera
The Rear View camera helps the driver to reverse. The camera image in the display of the radio or radio/navigation system shows the area behind the vehicle.
Rear View helps with parking by superimposing guidelines over the camera image. And depending on model, these show the path the vehicle will take with the current steering wheel setting, and when the steering wheel has to be turned.
This allows the vehicle to be backed up to any obstacle, regardless of whether it is a bumper or a kerbstone without an expensive repair bill. And coupling up a trailer is no longer a problem.
Start|Stop Technology
We think that sitting in traffic is bad enough without knowing that you have to pay for it too. That's why we created Start/Stop Technology, a really simple way of helping you to save money whenever you come to a stop.
Start/Stop almost completely deactivates your engine whenever you come to a temporary standstill and then smoothly reactivates it whenever you're ready to get moving again.
In an automatic; the system kicks in and automatically deactivates your engine whenever you've stepped on the brake and reactivates it whenever you press the accelerator.
